About AMS Unlocked
AMS Unlocked is a music festival organized by six study associations from the University of Amsterdam. After last year's major success, the second edition will be held on the 7th of June at LIEF Amsterdam from 16:00-23:00. You can expect an exciting line-up on two different stages with upcoming and familiar artists in the genre of techno, house and EDM.
The history of
AMS Unlocked
The idea for AMS Unlocked occurred at the AIM Party committee meeting in October 2021. They soon realized that hosting a music festival would only be possible by setting up a massive network of different associations. Therefore, after months of preparation, AIM teamed up with JFAS, SEFA, VSPA and SES on the 21st of January, 2022, to create AMS Unlocked. The first edition was held at Thuishaven on the 8th of June, 2022. Over 1500 students came together, which was record-breaking and something we never expected.
About the organization
AMS Unlocked is set up to provide students with a well-deserved ending to the academic year and celebrate that we are back after three years of the pandemic! The festival is organized by AIM, JFAS, SEFA, VSPA, SES and Off-Screen, six associations from the University of Amsterdam. Furthermore, AMS Unlocked is teaming up with several partner associations to ensure that as much of Amsterdam's student population is covered as possible.
We currently have a team of the most talented people working together on the organization of AMS Unlocked. They work on the Board or in committees such as Practicalities, Marketing, Acquisition and Talent Recruitment. All of them are students from different associations, but what do they have in common? They like to party.
